There's no doubt about it, grey has certainly been the go to colour for interior designers over the past couple of years.

No longer seen as dull and dingy (unlike our famous grey skyline). Grey is now a colour used to create as much drama in a room as it does relaxation.

The key to getting your greys right is adding different textures to a room. You can do this by adding in rugs, cushions, bedspreads, even concrete plant pots, the choices are endless. You can also add other neutral tones and be sure to include plenty of whites and natural wood finishes to bring a calm and peaceful environment together.

Adding dramatic floor plants adds life to a room and the stark greens provide a nice contrast to the muted tones elsewhere throughout a room. This is the perfect chance to opt for a textured plant pot and add further emphasis to the greenery within your room.

To highlight how to bring this all together, our design team have create the mood board below. There are no super expensive items here, with even the bed frame costing just £99 from IKEA.

No room would be finished without considering window coverings. Our recommendation for this would be either a vertical or roller blind to add nice clean lines to the overall finish. Our palette concrete fabric adds the perfect finishing touch to the room.

If you're in the process of redecorating and need advice on which window blind type would suit your room best, please feel free to contact us via our website or call us on 0115 942 9898.
